I am committed to providing access to internships and job opportunities for our young people who live in the city. Uyiosa Elegon

Age 19

This summer, I was allowed to use what I learned in marketing classes to highlight youth in the program through social media. I am so privileged to have carried out that project with the guidance of committed mentors in the Mayor’s Office of Education. Hire Houston Youth gave me the platform and resources I need to be successful in my future career.

Zach’s work in our office made it possible for us to distribute hundreds of computers to Houston area families without computers at home this fall. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program and meet great students like Zach who added so much value to our organization this summer. We can’t wait to meet next year’s interns!
